Capturing hdv with capture card
I have shot much footage on the Canon xh a1 at 1080 30p. I’ve begun capturing using the ProRes 422 codec through fw but the files are very big and I can’t log timecode. Soooo considering a capture card (Blackmagic Intensity or Intensity Pro) to capture DVCPro HD. But info for Intensity card not list 30p. Anyone know if it will work on 30p (or only on 1080i 60).
And just for the record, apparently Intensity does everything Intensity Pro does except not analogue. Why would you want to use a card to capture analogue footage?

For instances when you need to capture analog footage…. i.e., say you have BetaCam footage and need to capture it via analog component (or S-video, or composite, or whatever).
