I am capturing HDV from a Canon XHA1 that has been recorded as HDV. When I capture the video it captures it as an MPEG file. Is there a way to capture it directly as a QT Pro Res 422 or H 264? I am trying to use Bridge to perform the initial review of the clips and the MPEGs take a long time to load where my DSLR .Mov files load instantly

HDV video is encoded with the H.262/MPEG-2 Part 2 compression scheme. So you’ll probably need to convert it to ProRes afterwards.
