Capturing from tape
I am trying to capture video from a Panasonic DVCPRO Deck (DVCam) to my project on Premier Pro on my Mac. It was working 3 weeks ago and now when I try to capture I see “Wrong input format” I Choose HDV. It doesn’t work. I have tried through different computers and it doesn’t work. I am connecting the deck with a Fire wire 400 to Firewire 800 and adaptor to thunderbolt to plug in the computer. I had the same connection before but it was working. I have no idea what is going on.

if you updated premiere to 2022, I believe it lost dv capture support. you can either go back to an earlier premiere or use imovie.

Im amazed you captured using that setup at all.
Ive never had luck had to use capture cards/devices.
