I have a problem capturing tape to FCP from DVCPRO HD Panasonic AJ-HD1200 with FireWire cable. When I try to capture, the monitor of Log and Capture window shows “Preview Disabled” and I cannot see the images but TV monitor shows the images. The tape was shot by 720p60 and the easy set up was correct. Could you tell me what is the problem? And how I can make it work?
    Thanks.

I know there is some tricky settings in the AJ-HD1200 that disables and enables the firewire output that might be the issue. It is somewhere in the 600’s in the menu.

    Good luck.

Also look at setting 894. That toggles between DV output and HD output.

ANd if all else fails, look in the manual on how to reset the deck to factory settings. Once you do that it should pop up just fine.

I had to do that once.

    Thanks!
It was tape that didn’t make it work. I thought the tape was HD but it was DV standard…
So I changed the easy setting and it works now.
