Hello new to MAC’s and this forum. I have a canon HF11 HD camcorder (internal flash memory). It only has USB 2.0 output and HDMI. My Mac Pro only has FW800 and USB ports. How do I capture? Will I need a deck or USB to FW800 adapters?

    Thanks…………Alvin

    Hi Alvin,

I’m not familiar with your camera, but when you plug the camera in, does it mount like a hard drive on your desktop? If it does, you might be able to just drag the files over to your desktop to copy them locally.

Did the camera come with any software?

Here’s how to work with your camera and Final Cut Pro:

The Mac Pro does have USB 2.0 ports, by the way.
