Capturing Footage with Final Cut Pro
I have a problem with the timecode on my tape. When the footage plays, the timecode does not play with it (it stays still all the time). When I capture the footage, Final Cut keeps locating timecode break and cueing the tape. Is there a solution for this? -Thanks!

Under the user prefs there’s a check box for timecode breaks, uncheck it and see how far you get.
If that doesn’t work, the switch the device control to ‘non-controlable’ device, then just hit play on your deck.
One of those should do it.Good Luck,
