Has anyone experienced a similar problem? i.e. I attempt to capture video in Vegas 12 as I have always done, the footage saved on a second internal hard disk reserved for the purpose, but after apparantly completing the capture, the footage clips start to load into the Vegas then stops before completing. In other words once the stop button is pressed in the capture window the numbers of the clips captured revolve at the bottom of the window as if loading into the main Vegas project but only a few clips fully materialize in the project media window before the screen appears to freeze (“Vegas not responding” appears at top of screen)and as soon as I move the curser and touch anywhere on the screen, the whole screen goes white and I have no option other than to close the program. The frustrating thing is is that copies of the footage HAVE been captured on the internal hard disk but NOT in Vegas. PLEASE help. Nothing has knowingly changed on my PC (Windows 7 64 bit) since I last successfully captured footage and I have tried changing the camera I normally use to capture with, updated the firewire driver to include legacy and everything else I know.

If you aren’t, try using the latest Build of VP12. I read the White Paper for VP12 and I’ve counted 2 FIXES for the HDV capture process. Your issue could be linked to these Bugs?

Thanks Grazie, but as far as I know I am using the latest version (486 – 64bit) Among the things I have tried is to remove and replace VP12 but the problem is still the same. Barry D
