  Capturing Footage from Canon XH A1 Camera

  I was trialing a copy of CS 5.5 and I was trying to capture footage from the XHA1 and the capture screen kept saying I was off line. I went to capture settings and set device for Canon. Still could not capture any footage. Went to the Adobe device site and found out that the XH models are conditionally accepted. I cant believe that Adobe would not support this camera as there are a lot of us out there still using this camera. I considering switching from FCP 7 to CS 5.5, but this would be a show stopper. I don’t want to make this a 2 step process capturing on FCP7 and editing on CS 5.5. Am I missing something here. Are there any workarounds
