    capturing DVD within Vegas

    Is it possible to capture a dvd within Vegas from a non firewire device (ie, dvd recorder). I tried to drop a VOB on the timeline and render however there is no audio coming into Vegas. If not possible, does anyone know of a freeware or shareware program that will convert a dvd to mpeg or avi that is quick and easy to use??

    Vegas 6.0c – File – Import – DVD Camcorder Disc and point it to the DVD.

    That particular feature is. I still find it easier to just capture via firewire running the DVD player through a deck/camera/convertor.
