    Capturing audio or video only?

    Hi there,

    Is it possible in FCPX to capture via firewire just audio or video, rather than both? I have a ten minute or so interview that I just need the audio from and I don’t want to take up valuable disk space with unwanted video. I realise I can use FCP7 but just wondered if it was possible in X…

    Nik,

    Use something like MPEG Stream Clip to extract the audio track from the video.

    Yeah I can also do it even easier in FCP7, I was just curious as to whether or not it could be done in X.
