    Is it possible and if yes what is the procedure for capturing into Final cut video and 4 channels of audio from a DVCAM deck via firewire.

    Just make sure that whatever capture preset that you are using allows for four channels of audio. Otherwise, you’ll have to edit a capture preset to allow for four channels of audio and then you have to select them in your batch capture window.

    I believe firewire only allows two channels at once.

    So you’ll have to capture twice. Once for V/A1/A2 and once for A3/A4.
