I have PP CS 6. I am capturing a “BETAMAX” tape. Everything was being captured untill about 17 minutes into the tape. It just stopped capturing. I disconnected from the computer and attached it to a monitor. It played flawlessly. What caused the stopping of capturing? I have Windows 7 Professional. 24GB RAM 64 bit

    Hi Ed,

How is the footage being captured – some type of capture card?

Any screen saver, power saver options enabled on machine that might interrupt recording?

Any chance the hdd being fat32?
Fat32 will hold up to 4 gig per file which is about 20 minutes.
For video the hdd should be ntfs formatted.

Be sure you don’t have the “Abort capture on dropped frames” checkbox checked. It’s in your Capture window settings.
