    Ug..
    HELP –

What are the capture settings for 24p squish? I have looked and looked.
Unfortunately I think I have looked at the answer and just can’t “get it”.

How is one to tell the difference beteen 24p and 24PA shot material? I need to capture footage that was shot in both of these modes. The tapes are not marked and I don’t know which tapes were shot in which mode.

    thanks

    Is this coorrect

“One of my readers asked how to capture straight 24P, rather than 24P Advanced. Noah responded:

For 24p standard you still capture at 29.97. Then if you wish to conform the captured footage to true 24p you do this in CinemaTools, according to the manual. That’s why 24pA was designed because it can be conformed automatically by FCP. 24p standard requires more work”

    I found it

    Do I also check anamorphic 16×9 ?
Is there anything else I need to know since I shot in squish mode?
What will be the signs when I have captured 24PA footage (incorrectly) in the 24P settings?

    THANKS!!!
