    Hi all,

I will be working on a project that will be shot with a Panasonic DVX 100B, SD in 24p. I was wondering if it is possible to then capture the footage in FCP using a camcorder (Panasonic PV-GS 500) that does not have a 24p function. In other words, can I play back the SD 24p footage from the non-24p camcorder in order to capture it in FCP?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Matt

    Hey Matt,
Yes this is possible since the DVX100 does not shoot native 24p. Since it records in 60i to give a 24p look, any camera that can play back 60i DV footage will be able to be used as a capture device.
