    Hi,

I am looking for a little help with capturing 24p from a canon XL2 that was shot with “normal” pull down of 2:3.
I want to edit the video natively in 24p. I’m very familar with Final Cut but this is my first venture into the 24p world so setting this up to capture right is what i am having issues with.

    thanks in advance

Thanks for your responds… that’s what i did do… I was hoping there was a better way and that i wouldn’t have to take up twice the space doing the reverse telecine.
I guess the better way is using the 2:3:3:2 and having FCP do it durning capture.

    thanks for your help

in the future if you’re planning to work on it as 24p footage you’ll proably want to use 24p advanced pulldown. that’s what it’s made for

    Oh well… live and learn…
cinema tools definitely helped me out though… only thing i lost was time for it to process.

next time I’m doing it the easy way
