    Hello. This is my first time to really capture video in FCP 5 HD, so I need some assistance. What is the best way to capture footage that I shot with a Canon XL2 at 24P and 16:9 Aspect Ratio (Setting up the project, setting up capture settings, etc.)

    Since there are two ways to record 24p with the XL2 you need to know which format you used: 24p or 24pA (advanced). Then you’ll be more prepared to decide how to capture to FCP.     And once you’ve found the appropriate Easy Setup. just modify it to be Anamorphic, and you’re done.
