Capturing
I use a DVX for filming and was wondering if capturing the footage on another mini dv camera like a vx2000 or cheaper mini dv camera will affect the quality at all? Thanks.

Nope- as long as the other camera is a DV camera with clean tape heads supported by your NLE the transfer is digital and will look identical.
