  Capturing 1080 23.98 into DVCProHD codec

  We have a job where we are loading in 1080 HDCAM sources shot in 23.98fps, and we want to transcode them to DVCProHD, also in 23.98. When we do this on the Decklink HD Extreme card, the resulting file is 1440 x 1080 and 50i.

  What is strange is that the same clip captured on a Kona2 card using their easy setup results in a framesize of 1280 x 1080 and 60i

  Who is right? Obviously these two different types of clips would be problematic to cut on the same timeline.
