    Hi…
I just bought vegas couple days ago. Normally I captured my mini DV tape using windows movie maker in DV-AVI format(PAL format). Somehow, the result is pretty good when the camera is steady but when the camera moves around it shows so many lines (I don’t know exactly what the term in here, so it is hard for me to looks it up in previous posts).

Then I tried to capture it using Vegas but it still doing the same thing, can you help me to fix result (using Vegas 6.0d)?I believe the problem is in the video capture setting but I cannot figure it out.
    I’d appreciate it.

    Thank You

Sounds like you’re seeing the typical “interlace” lines. This is somewhat normal when viewed on the computer screen. The bigger question is: How does it look on the external monitor? I’ll bet it looks fine there (since the external monitor would be interlaced.

If you’re final output is to the computer screen, you may try deinterlacing it.

so it should not be a problem if I burn it to DVD and play it in regular TV?

Thanks a lot for the response.

It is very possible that when you burn it to DVD that all will be fine. You’ll have to test for absolute certainty but I’m betting it will be.
