    Captured DVCAM tapes over Firewire from DSR-25 deck brocken into several clips

    I’ve been capturing 60 to 90 minute tapes at DV PAL quality and even though there are no timecode breaks in the tapes, they get divided into 9 to 10 separate clips. Any ideas on what might be doing this?

    In the browser or on the drives? If on the drives you see -av-1, 1-av-2…that means that your drive is formatted in a PC format that only allows 2GB max files sizes, like FAT 32.

    Your drive should be formatted Mac OS extended.
