i’m using FCP 5.0 on a MAcBook with OS 10.5

i recently upgraded my OS, and cant remember if i had to reinstall FCP or not. i think not.
FCP is basically working fine, but it has a new digitizing quirk:

after capturing, i get a window titled: “Analyzing DV Audio” and inside it reads “Validating Audio Data.”

the only option in that window is “cancel.” if i cancel, the captured clips evaporate, so i don’t cancel…

HOWEVER, when i use “log and capture,” set my in and out points, log the clip into the “logging bin” and then select “batch capture,” the clips are out of sync (audio trailing behind video about 1 sec).

BUT if i press play and “capture now” the clips are fine. perfectly in sync.
eve after this “Validating Audio Data” function is done (1-10 min depending on length of clip).

since i don’t want to capture 100 tapes on the fly… what should i do?

    HELP…
