Captured audio differs from source tape….
Hello All-
I’m digitizing some HD tapes which have been downconverted to DVCAM. After
capturing (via FW) I’m getting a message that says my
captured clips audio doesn’t match the source tapes
audio. However, the clips seem to play just fine. I
then looked at the audio indicator on my DSR-40 and
when the tape is playing the Fs-32k lights up which
(according to the manual) means that the tape was
recorded in 4 channel mode. Since I did sound on the
HD shoot I know there were only two tracks so I’m
thinking something went down in the dubbing process
that “added” two tracks that the FW codec doesn’t like
or something. Should I be concerned or is there a
setting to change that would make this right?
