    Is anyone haveing the issue in fcp 5 that you can not select partial letters/words in your description or reel boxes. I just want to change a few letters but it will not partial select anyhting. I cannot even place my text cursor in the middle and backspace from that point it deletes everything.

    Yes, this has been discussed.
    Its a bug or some other design flaw.

    thanks, i did a search but it did not result in anyhitng.
