Can vegas separate a clip in different video files when detecting an scene change during capturing?

I don’t refer to the time code change but actual video change.

    thanks

On DV Capture Vegas only does scene detection based upon time-code changes only. If you want “optical scene detection” then you’ll need to use another product (such as Scenalyzer Live).

Vegas breaks into separate clips based on jumps in the Date/Time code (not the timecode). In order for this to work correctly the clock MUST be set in the camera prior to taping. If your clock was not set, scene detection will NOT work.

For optical scene detection, I agree with Liam – try Scenalyzer Live. (Scenalyzer can also do date/time scene detection as well).
