Hi, i can say, i know fcp a bit, i did lots of work. However, i have to use sony a1-e to shot something beacuse im a student and this is the camera that my university provides for me. So i shot things to dv, and i capture it ( capture setting – 1080i, i just can capture with 1080i nothing else)
However, sometimes, i can see grains whem im editing
sometimes there is no grain while editing but after export h264, it gets grainy again.

İt does not matter how much light do i have, i constantly have grains.

So what do you think the problem can be?
Do i have a chance to change capturing codec? İs it can help?
Do anyone have an export suggestion to solve this?

    Thanks

Are you shooting HDV? to Tape?
    Capturing Firewire?
If so, your capture settings do not have anything to do with the grainyness. It comes from low light, low resolution cameras. Poor camera settings.

After you compress, yes you can have grainyness. You have to work on your compression settings. Try a higher data rate.
