  • Capture SDp with Kona LH over SDI?

I shot a green screen session with a Panasonic Cam in DVCPRO 50 (standard def), progressive at 29.97. The cam has an SDI out and is set up to play back correctly. I’m using the AJA breakout box.

The control panel keeps saying “no video.”

Is this possible? What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you for your help.

    close FCP.

Plug in the SDI output of the camera or VTR into the AJA SDI input (not video input).

Open the AJA Control Panel, or Pro I/O Control panel

    Click on the input tab

    select SDI

look at the output of the AJA I/O box on a TV monitor (use the composite video output).

do you see a picture ?

    just a grey screen?
click on the CONTROL tab in the control panel – select TEST PATTERN, and Color Bars – do you see color bars on your TV monitor ?

As it turns out, all I needed to do was trash the prefs. Everything is working now.
    Thanks!
