    hi

i am trying to import material from my Sony Z1 to my powerbook G4 laptop. I plan on importing about 10 hours of footage for a project i am doing. i just bought a mybook 500G hard drive and cleared the drive so that should be working fine. I also re-set the scratch disks to this drive. When capturing the first tape it allowed me to capture about 10 minutes and then froze. when i closed the application and re-opened it to continue capturing a sign came up saying that all my capture scratch disks are full and i should either empty them or send them to a different location. there are two capture scratch folders at the moment. one on my hard drive and one on my laptop under documents/final cut pro/ capture scratch. This folder is empty and this is what i dont understand. The capture scratch folder on my external has the project i was working on in it so the capture scratch seems to be in the right place with 500 G of hard drive space, im confused.
