    Hey guys,
regulary I’m capturing HDTV 1080i 50 at 8 bit 4:2:2 over a blackmagic brigde on a internal Video Raid on my Mac without any trouble. But just today, after I cleaned the raid from older stuff and after capturing DVCAM in RGB on it I had no chance to get any HD-material on the raid that is longer than 10 seconds. Reports of timecode errors. The tapes are ok, I used them before. The Raid seems to be fine except when I ran a speed test with blackmagic: 1 frame too slow.

Does anyone of you know this problem or has an anwser?

    Thanks big times

    Hey guys,
ha, I found the solution myself by deleting all empty storage on the raid – so it says in german on the drive-assistant on the Mac. There are three version to overwrite deleted data wich was before various footage:

    1. Overwriting with zeros
    2. Deleting deleted date in 7 rounds
    3. Deleting deleted data in 35 rounds

I tryed the first (but it took hours). Sounds wired but works! The speed test was now up at 43 fps for HDTV 1080i 50 8 bit an the material is capturing right now without a stop.

It’s probably making a differences to iron the socks 😉

Thanks for this site and keep on clickin’
