I’m having massive problems capturing from FCP HD Express. I get the “detected dropped frames” after few seconds every time/ every tape.
I’m plugged in directly to computer and even turned off preferece to abort on dropped frames!
Someone has suggested that going to 10.4.9 (which I did) could be problem. Can anyone help me here? I’m all out of ideas thanks.

Try Snapz Pro. It gives you audio, video and stills. I’ve had great success with it.

he is trying to capture video from a tape not from the screen

What type of hard drives are you use to capture the video to. Is it USB? USB drive cannot sustain a constant speed that is fast enough for video.

You said that you are using Final Cut Express, this is the Final Cut Pro forum.
