  Capture problems on G5

  I am a professor teaching Avid Express Pro at a local college. We are having capture problems on our Mac G5 sytems. Everytime we attempt to capture we have video glitches and drop frames aborts. We have our media partitioned off the applications drive and use external drives to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks
