  • Capture problems in FCPHD w/Canon GL2

We’ve upgraded all our computers in the department to FCPHD 6.01 and are STILL having problems capturing anything shot with Canons. We keep getting the “dropped time code” message. It was my understanding that this had been fixed by Apple, but apparently it hasn’t. I take the exact same tape to my Panasonic AG-DVX100p and it captures everything with no problems. This is a real pain for my class, because I have only the one Panasonic and we need to capture stuff shot on 5 Canons. Isn’t there any way to make FCPHD work better with the Canons? Help!!

Speaking as a long-time user of FCP and Canon…

Let’s just say that the fault lies NOT in FCP.

    Try this:-
Connect the Canon to your Mac, turn it on, and
leave it on whilst re-installing FCP.

    Cheers
