  capture problems 24p, DVCpro50, and the AJSD93 deck

  Hey all,

  so I’m having a problems capturing 24p, DVCpro 50 footage. I’m capturing at 29.97 and then reversing to 23.98 with Cinema Tools.

  I’m using:

  FCP 5.0.4
  Cinema Tools 3.0.3

  Dual 2.7 G5
  2.5 gb ram
  10.4.4

  Panisonic AJ SD93 deck
  Panisonic AJ SDX 900 camera

  the footage looks strobby and has weird interlaced frames every 4/5.

  anyone know why or have a work around?

  we need to prep the show for possible film-out which is why we’re trying to cut in 23.98.
