Capture problems
I have capturing problems when using my SONY Camcorder to convert an analogue VCR signal to DV-signal: The capture function will not start-up / run. The Computer is connected via the firewire. The audio runs OK but the video / picture pops up on the capture display for less then a sec.

Options – Preferences – General.
Make sure “Enable DV device control” is not selected. -
That usually means you have “Device Control” turned on and it’s trying to start playback. If that option is on, try turning it off.
