    Capture problem vegas 7

    I can capture my footage from my Sony HVR-V1U Camcorder to windows movie maker but when I try to capture in Vegas it cannot see the device.
    Tried DV and hdv I get nothing. trien four different DV cables ieee not the problem cause I can capture in that silly movie maker program.
    Any help appreciated.

    So when you plug your cam in you get the Windows sound that indicates that Windows sees the cam?

    Yes .. windows Vista Toshiba laptop Satellite P500-ST5801
    Capture in the silly windows movie is fine .. Vegas sees nothing..
