I am using a client’s equipment for a video. He has a Panasonic AG-HVX200 and the Windows 7 version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. When the camera is connected to the computer via Firewire it doesn’t show up in the media browser for Adobe Premiere. I know the shots are there because when the camera is in recorder mode the shots show up in the camera monitor. The camera, though, doesn’t show up in Premiere’s media browser. I’m looking for suggestions to solve this issue as I think I’ve tried everything else. Thanks in advance for all suggestions, too!

Try connecting via USB instead of Firewire. That’s how I do it. Also suggest using P2 Viewer software for ingesting. It’s free from Panasonic. You’ll also need to install the latest P2 drivers from Panasonic–also free. Can’t remember where to get them, but Google them and you’ll find them.
