Wow, that’s really strange. I have no problem with 6-to-4 pin firewire cables. In fact, my Sony HVR-DR60 Hard Disk Recording Unit uses one to capture all of my video live on my Z1U.

June 15, 2012 at 8:36 pmI’ve written before with no luck as of yet. I have a Sony HDR FX-7 camcorder. I can capture in standard DV no problem-with Sony Vegas Pro 9, 10, and 11. It recognizes the camera in HD. When I capture in HD, the computer turns the camera on, yet I never get any footage. I’ve been on the phone with Sony for hours. I’ve changed firewire cables, added another PCI board, yet nothing. I have Windows 7 64 with a Dell I7 computer. I’m disguisted that I simply cannot capture HD. All my setting on the camera are correct. Any help, once again, would be appreciated.
