Capture Presets (Deleting Unnecesary)
At work we capture from about 4 different presets, but occasionally the wrong preset is chosen by mistake. To stop this, I was thinking we could delete the plethora of presets that are available. Is this easily done?

OK, so i’m now at work and see under the “audio/video settings” that yes, I can very easily deleted unwanted capture presets. However, i’m now realizing that I don’t actually want to delete them, but rather hide them from the preset list when i go to choose for capturing.
So my question now is, can these presets be hidden easily?

We have an AJA Io. Hmm, i’ll have to check the sytem settings tomorrow to see if it can be done thier (is that where you were going?)

Go to Harddrive->library->application support->Final Cut Pro Support->custom settings and you will notice a carp load of setting in there. You will also notice that some of them have asterisks at the end of their name. Put an asterisk at the end of the ones you want to show up and remove the asterisk for the ones you don’t. OPen FCP and hit control-q and make sure the “show all” box is not checked. FCPs default setups will be there and so should your four setups. Hope this helps. This is as far as I have been willing to go without deleting setups and such as I hate reinstalling FCP.
