Assuming you are using a generic OHCI firewire capture, you may have FAT 32 as the file system for your target drive. This will limit your capture to about 18 minutes. In My Computer, right click on that drive and choose Properties. What file system does it show?

jep thats right, fat 32, but does that mean, that there is no possibilitie to capture this way?
also its not possible to capture this file on another hard disc and copy it to this one, right?

    thx

You can easily convert your file system to NTFS. Move all the files to another drive, then in My Computer, right click on the drive and choose Format. Select NTFS as the file system and also Quick Format.

    Peter,

You can convert the drive to NTFS easily using the Windows utility convert.exe
You do not have to reformat drive or move the files currently on the drive.
See this link for more information.

    Hope this helps.
