  • Capture Issues…Video Jitters..Stutters

    Hello,
I am having problems trying to capture into FCP. Our FCP at my work is hooked up to a rack with Beta Decks, DVD, VHS…etc… and everything is controlled by a router. I can route FCP and the BETA deck just fine, FCP recognizes the deck and I can log clips, and view video just fine in FCP. However, when I go to capture my clips, the video will capture all jittery and stutters almost. (Almost like slow motion, but is very shaky and jumps.) When I go to view the clip, I can see that that is the way it captured. Any clue why, or how this can be fixed? It was working just fine yesterday. (Also, this has happened once before, and the problem just went away…)
I’ve tried viewing the settings, trying other tapes, etc. and to no avail.

I’m not too sure which version of FCP we’re using since I’m not at work at the moment(and hey, I’m new there..) but I believe its FCP 4HD, with a G4. The G4 is hooked up to a couple of external harddrives, which we store our media to.
Can anyone give me any suggestions??

    Thank you for your help!

We need more info about how the beta material is being digitized
