Capture issue–no picture
I am working on a Mac Pro with Snow Leopard, FCP 7. Trying to capture HDV footage from tape using a Sony GV-HD700 deck. Log & Capture controls the deck and time code runs–but no picture. I have used this deck to capture successfully in the past. I have checked the settings in FCP and on the deck. Tried changing codecs, re-starting decks and computer, different Firewire cable, different tapes, trashing the FCP prefs, and basic voodoo–but the same result: Log & Capture starts and stops the deck but NO PICTURE. Checking the drive, it creates the Capture Scratch folder package but no media. What did I forget? GK
