When I used to capture using the record button and escape key in Premiere 6.5, my experience was that the in point was accurate to the frame/moment I pressed the record button. In PPro 1.5, I’m noticing that when I do the same thing, the in point is delayed a significant enough number of frames to force me to re-do the capture and press the record button ahead of when I want it to start recording in order to get the in point I intended.

I’m sure it’s something stupid I’m forgetting to do (or doing incorrectly)–can anyone fill me in here?
    thanks a lot-

Same thing happnes to me; I’m not sure if I’m missing a set-up thing, or what, but I just try to anticipate the capture point significantly, now. Some of my material comes from Beta SP, other from DVCam, and I don’t have firewire machine control for the Beta deck, so I’m stuck digitizing by hand….

If anyone knows a way to set the Premiere preferences to compensate for this delay, that’d be cool. Otherwise, I guess, just punch the record button early.
