I’ve tried over at Varicam and FCP, maybe this is the right place.

With the MB-Extreme, can I capture to 1080p50 from a varicam 720p25 shoot?
Or any other suggestions (As there isn’t a 720p25 codec available.

Will I have to do it as Decklink uncompressed, or can i go to DVCPRO-HD?

Ummm. I’m running the latest version of FCP5 and the Blackmagic drivers, and I have:
    Blackmagic HDTV 720p 25 VariCam – 8 bit
    Blackmagic HDTV 720p 25 VariCam – 10 bit
    Easy Setups.

Keep in mind that 720p25 isn’t a standard format.
It’s not transfered over SDI and no VTR can play it back.

The BMD settings try to get the pullup pattern from the
    60p (59,94) signal …

I would shot and work in 30p and transcode the master
    to 25p …
