Capture HD
I have a JVC GY-HD100 camera and a player JVC BR-HD50. In DV there are no problems. But in HD the capturing from the camera or player stops on every cameastop, saying: “Searching for media” and start again after 5-6 sec. So I mis images.
Do I somthing wrong in “preferences”?

In the capture window there is a default selection on one of the tabs to break capture on every camera stop. It should by default be deselected as it is, by general consensus, not desired. Instead you need to find this and deselect it.
I don’t have my FCP open at the moment so I can’t be more specific.

Thanks for help Michael but in the “Log and Capture” window I only see in the “Capture Settings” tab : “Scratch Disk…” and after that: the free space in time and GB.

Are you in an HDV Easy Setup? Doesn’t sound like you are. The Log and Capture window looks completely different for HDV capture and the button Michael is talking about is there.

The settings are:
Easy Setup: Format: HDV
Use : HDV-720p25
Rate : 25 fps
The information tells me:
Sequence Preset: HDV-720p25
Capture Preset: HDV
Device control Preset: HDV Firewire 25 fps
…. etc.My software is Final Cut Studio 2

It will not work.
Not with my player BR-HD50, not with my camera GY-HD100E.
Not with “Capture now”, not with “log clip”.
Not with “Create new clip on Start/Stop” on or off.
Perhaps because it is “PAL”.
My FCP is version 6.0.4
So I think there is no solution for my problem.
