Capture from non-contollable device with timecode

Here’s my situation: (FCP 6)
I have a multi cam shoot with all DSR cameras locked to timecode. This is also recorded on the master DV deck. In addition I also capture the master mix straight into FCP using the ‘non-controllable device’ setting via the deck’s firewire.
The problem is that in doing this, FCP does not take in the master timecode but instead generates it’s own, which is a problem when trying to sync up clips from the camera ISOs later in the edit.
I’m told there is no software solution to this, but there might me a gadget that enables you to re-feed master timecode back into FCP?
Any thoughts on the gadget or work-arounds?
Thanks
Will
