Capture from JVC GZ-HD3 into Mac G5 impossible

I am also having trouble importing video to Mac osx. I can move the still pics over, but not the hd video. What gives/

Thanks for the link. I am still confused about quick time pro to move my hdd video to imovie. how do I get the quick time pro?
