When I capture in FCP, I get a message that says “capture has reached the end of the tape” but there is still plenty of tape. The problem didn’t arise until I started using a 2nd Lacie external firewire drive. (The 2nd drive is daisychained through original.) It’s odd to me that the 2nd external could be causing a problem during capture because I only use it to store Render files. Any thoughts?
yes I looked in the manual,

Log the material past this point and see if you can’t capture it… if you still can’t I’d suspect the source machine or the tape itself… i.e. this isn’t a software problem don’t think.
