I’ve been given a mini dvd-r containing data from a video camera (the camera records straight to DVD). It is in DVD format, with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS file folders. I’ve tried using DVDBurn to rip an .avi (with no compression), then import this .avi to Premiere Pro for editing. Premiere will not import this .avi, nor one with the Radius codec. Any idea what I can use to convert this DVD to an avi that I can play with in premiere? Or can I convert to mpeg to work in Premiere? Thanks- Kathy

Do you have a utility like Canopus Procoder or something similar? You will need to convert the video file to the codec that is on your system. If not, then there is a program called ‘ImTooDVDRipper’, that will convert it to an AVI file with your desired codec.
