Yea, Mike I don’t know what I was thinking. I’ve been working far to long and hard lately (NAB insane rush). 😉

So go worry about NAB and let the rest of us handle the questions here for awhile 🙂
p.s. have a great time there. I wish I was going but April is crazy month at the college I work for (last month of school with students going insane with deadlines). -

April 3, 2011 at 2:09 pmActually, I’m not going to NAB this year. 🙁 I just have new plug-ins that we are preparing to announce so I’ve been up late getting everything ready for the launch. Crazy busy.

April 3, 2011 at 4:37 pmFor the Microsoft Capture Codec I’m sure my lingo is a little twisted up. When you launch the Sony Vegas Capture Video Dialog 6.0 (DV) under the video menu there’s a list of cameras to select from. One of the options (this if off the top of my head) is something to the effect of “Microsoft IEEE firewire …”.
I guess I just assumed that Microsoft was running the show when I saw that. Perhaps they’re just telling Vegas how to talk over the firewire line. No biggie. I think you guys set me straight 🙂 Greatly appreciated!
On a side note, what do you guys recommend I do to get better at video production (from shooting to editing and producing?) I currently got into this to launch a business that develops video training programs for small businesses and automates their fulfillment. Here’s a few things I’ve done so far…
– I’m taking classes at the local community college
– Searched google (of course 🙂 )
– Went through FASST start guide for Sony Vegas (great job btw!!!)
– Networked with a few pros in the industry to ask questions ofI am currently broke as a joke but are there some books or further training DVD(s) you guys would recommend?
Thanks!!!!

April 3, 2011 at 9:43 pmSure. You do all the work and everyone else gets to go and have fun.
Something is definitely wrong 🙂 -
