[Mike Kujbida] “The VX2100 is miniDV only.”

Yea, Mike I don’t know what I was thinking. I’ve been working far to long and hard lately (NAB insane rush). 😉

So go worry about NAB and let the rest of us handle the questions here for awhile 🙂
p.s. have a great time there. I wish I was going but April is crazy month at the college I work for (last month of school with students going insane with deadlines).

Actually, I’m not going to NAB this year. 🙁 I just have new plug-ins that we are preparing to announce so I’ve been up late getting everything ready for the launch. Crazy busy.

For the Microsoft Capture Codec I’m sure my lingo is a little twisted up. When you launch the Sony Vegas Capture Video Dialog 6.0 (DV) under the video menu there’s a list of cameras to select from. One of the options (this if off the top of my head) is something to the effect of “Microsoft IEEE firewire …”.

I guess I just assumed that Microsoft was running the show when I saw that. Perhaps they’re just telling Vegas how to talk over the firewire line. No biggie. I think you guys set me straight 🙂 Greatly appreciated!

On a side note, what do you guys recommend I do to get better at video production (from shooting to editing and producing?) I currently got into this to launch a business that develops video training programs for small businesses and automates their fulfillment. Here’s a few things I’ve done so far…

    – I’m taking classes at the local community college
    – Searched google (of course 🙂 )
    – Went through FASST start guide for Sony Vegas (great job btw!!!)
    – Networked with a few pros in the industry to ask questions of

I am currently broke as a joke but are there some books or further training DVD(s) you guys would recommend?

    Thanks!!!!

Sure. You do all the work and everyone else gets to go and have fun.
    Something is definitely wrong 🙂

lol… actually I was invited to come and have fun but I work two jobs so it’s not that easy for me to get a few days off at the same time.
