Capture
Every time I try to capture video on FCE a box pops up and says:
“Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape. Capture has been aborted and your clip has been saved.”
What are probable causes?

Is your video playing back on the camera? I’ve sometime encountered problems capturing tape with Final Cut as well. I’ve fixed my problem before by giving the clip a few seconds of room at the beginning and end of the clip.
