I have a Sony HDR-HC3 Camera which is recording in HDV1080i. I have the camera connected to a DAC-200 which in turn is connected to the computer by a firewire. The DAC is recognized by the PC computer. Under “DV/HDV Device Control Setings” I have the following; NTSC, Sony, Standard and Auto Detect. The “Check Staus” is Online. Under “Capture Settings I have HDV Capture. I cannot capture. What am I doing incorrectly?

Connect your Sony camcorder directly to your computer using your IEEE 1394 (firewire/i.Link) cable.

    You’re welcome.

Be sure to order the right cable. There are four-pin and six-pin connectors. The four-pin socket is considerably smaller than the six-pin, so they are easy to differentiate.

    Happy editing. Happy editor
